About the department and role:
The Health & Safety Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring the company’s compliance with health and safety regulations, supporting the Operations and Facilities Teams to promote a safe work environment across the business.
Context
This role is critical in upholding and continuously improving safety standards throughout the business. The Health & Safety Coordinator will work closely with the Operations Team and external H&S Consultants to implement, review, and maintain safety protocols, ensuring alignment with current legislation and best practices.

- Training and Development Team
Principal Accountabilities:
- Ensure adherence to Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessments by all employees.
- Maintain and manage Health and Safety documentation within the Document Control Management System.
- Collaborate with external H&S consultants to review safety data and provide trend analyses for management reviews.
- Support the Facilities Team in conducting required periodic checks and safety audits.
- Assist in thorough investigations of accidents, incidents, and near-misses, ensuring all relevant evidence is collected and recorded.
Experience/Skills Required:
- Strong working knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, environmental legislation, and H&S management systems.
- Excellent computer proficiency: experience with Ideagen Q-Pulse QMS is highly desirable.
- Ability to clearly convey complex information and build effective working relationships across teams.
Qualifications:
- IOSH Managing Safety (required)
- Level 3 or equivalent Health and Safety qualification (preferred)
- GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths
- A valid driving license (preferred)
