The Role
We are seeking a Part-Time Stock Associate to join our Melrose store. You will be responsible for supporting daily back-of-house operations, maintaining accurate inventory organization, and ensuring the sales floor is fully supported with product availability. This role plays an essential part in creating a seamless customer experience by ensuring merchandise is processed, organized, replenished, and maintained to company standards.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment while supporting both stockroom and sales floor needs.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Stockroom Operations.
Receive, unpack, process, and organize incoming shipments according to company standards.
Maintain an organized and efficient stockroom environment, ensuring all product is properly labeled, folded, hung, and stored.
Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock accuracy initiatives.
Identify inventory discrepancies, missing items, damages, or shipment concerns and communicate findings to leadership.
Ensure all deliveries are processed accurately and efficiently.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized back-of-house area.
Replenishment & Sales Floor Support
Replenish merchandise throughout the day to ensure the sales floor remains fully stocked and visually appealing.
Support size availability by monitoring high-demand styles and communicating low-stock items to leadership.
Assist with product transfers, returns, and inventory movements as needed.
Partner with the sales team to locate product quickly and efficiently for client needs.
Support floor recovery and closing tasks when required.
Store Operations & Team Support
Follow all company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
Maintain confidentiality regarding store operations, inventory, and business information.
Assist with opening and closing responsibilities as assigned.
Communicate effectively with managers and team members regarding priorities and operational needs.
Provide support during high-volume periods, events, and peak shopping hours.
Skills and Requirements
Previous retail, stock, warehouse, or inventory experience preferred.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to lift, carry, and move merchandise safely (up to 50 lbs as needed).
Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a team.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
Must be flexible with scheduling, including weekends, holidays, and peak retail periods.
