Brannerson Exports is seeking a skilled Garment Technologist for our garment factory, which exclusively supplies garments for Oh Polly and Bo+Tee. The successful candidate will have a profound understanding of quality control and technical expertise within the garment manufacturing sector.
Key Performance Areas:
- Technical Documentation: Create and maintain technical sheets and measurement charts.
- Sample Review: Evaluate samples for size, fit, quality, and technology; participate in sample fittings.
- Issue Resolution: Address and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Production Advice: Review all Development Samples (DPS) and Pre-Production Samples (PPS), providing recommendations for production improvements.
Role Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Process Management: Oversee the process from sample development to bulk production, ensuring consistency in technology, samples, and patterns.
- Designer Collaboration: Fully understand the designer’s vision and communicate effectively to ensure feasibility in production.
- Pattern Coordination: Work closely with pattern makers to ensure the garment meets the designer's expectations and is producible.
- Technical Problem Solving: Address technical issues during sample creation and bulk production in collaboration with the production department.
- Sample Oversight: Monitor sample production, checking for size, technology, quality, and fit; participate in sample fittings and provide constructive feedback.
- Sample Approval: Aim to approve samples after 2-3 iterations, ensuring they meet all requirements.
- Specialized Techniques: Be knowledgeable about embroidery, printing, washing, hotfix rhinestones, smocking stitches, lace, and fabric performance to avoid high-risk fabrics.
- Pattern Adjustment: Understand and adjust patterns to achieve desired effects.
- Technology Selection: Choose methods that meet quality and appearance standards while enhancing production efficiency.
- Quality Control: Manage PPS and bulk sample reviews, set QC standards, and provide relevant documentation for bulk production.
- Technical Management: Lead PP meetings, manage technology for both in-house and subcontracted production, and offer technical support to ensure high-quality outputs.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential quality risks, stay familiar with factory production procedures, and promote new technologies and processes.
- Reporting: Summarize weekly work, address relevant problems, and submit weekly/monthly reports to superiors.
- Task Completion: Follow work assignments and complete tasks as directed by superiors.

Communication: Maintain strong communication with the UK team and ensure all samples are sent to LA.
Skills and Requirements:
- Garment Development Expertise: Proficient in the garment sample development process, technology, fabric performance, accessory characteristics, and garment cost structure. Familiar with production processes and operational regulations.
- Technical Proficiency: Mastery of Office software.
- Teamwork: Strong communication and organizational skills; a team player.
- Learning Ability: Strong capability to learn and adapt.
- Ethics and Responsibility: High sense of responsibility, principled, and possessing good professional ethics.
- Mandarin and English speaking.
